Care & Denier Guide
Understanding denier
Denier measures the fineness of the fibre. The lower the number, the sheerer the hosiery; the higher, the more opaque and warm.
- 5–15 denier — ultra-sheer, barely-there, for evening.
- 20–40 denier — semi-sheer to soft opaque, everyday elegance.
- 50–80+ denier — full opaque, depth and warmth.
Putting them on
Remove rings and check for rough nails. Gather each leg from toe to top, ease on slowly, and smooth — never yank. Patience preserves the sheer.
Washing
Hand wash in cool water with a little gentle soap. Press — don’t wring — and air dry away from heat. Never tumble dry.
Storing
Keep pairs flat or loosely rolled, away from anything that could snag. Treated well, fine hosiery keeps its shape and sheen far longer.
